Gator’s first catch

A few days ago when I was trying to get a good picture of a cricket and a wood wasp my 2 year-old son came up to me with his first solo-capture: a beetle. I was just glad he did it without hurting the thing so we wouldn’t have to talk about being more careful and how it’s okay to kill chickens and cows but not beetles; unless they’re not endangered and you’re going to eat them of course.
