One wood wasp a laying

Maybe an orussidae. Supposedly these little ones are a bit rare. Something that I find increasingly irritating about that. Nearly every time I look up an animal it says they are rare or unusual in the range I find them. When I was a kid in New Mexico I saw animals, mostly birds, constantly that weren’t even supposed to live within two states of me.

Almost every week I see animals that are supposedly rare. What is truly rare is an observant person and that includes the would-be, wanna-be, and supposed-to-be science types who riddle every documentary and field guide with vague inaccuracies based on their own limited range.
