The return of the spider envy

Since Daniel insists on waving his around more. I have here another all new wolf spider which is a bit more upscale—larger and more colorful—than the last two.

Yet another Seattle wolf spider

For any students of spider behavior I should mention I did not find her on the salmonberry pictured but in the weeds I was pulling. I picked her up and put her up where she couldn’t hide immediately so I could get a picture or two. And she’s missing her right front leg but I don’t think that was my doing. And if she wasn’t gravid she was well fed.

Re: The return of the spider envy

he's super cool! How hairy!!! I can never seem to find hairy spiders... might have to go buy a bird-eating spider from the pet store to take some shots with! :)
